Mum’s old classic~
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 125g butter
- 1 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1 egg
- 2 mashed ripe bananas
- 1 tsp bi-carb soda mixed with
- 2 tbsp milk
Method
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add banana, then egg, then the bicarb/milk mix.
- Fold in sifted flour.
- Bake 45 mins at 180°C (355°F)
When I’ve made this I’ve had to cook it longer. .. Round tins take longer to cook than loaf tins, too
