Mum’s old classic~

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 125g butter
  • 1 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 mashed ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp bi-carb soda mixed with
  • 2 tbsp milk

 

Method

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add banana, then egg, then the bicarb/milk mix.
  3. Fold in sifted flour.
  4. Bake 45 mins at 180°C (355°F)

When I’ve made this I’ve had to cook it longer. .. Round tins take longer to cook than loaf tins, too
