A freakin’ delicious meat chili recipe from Bee!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 500g mince beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 dried chillies (or 1 tsp. chilli powder)
  • tin of chopped tomatoes
  • tin of red kidney beans
  • 2 cups of water

Method:

  1. Heat up the oil in a pot over medium heat. Add mince and brown, breaking up clumps. Let cook until any water from the meat evaporates.
  2. Add onion and cook for ~5 mins.
  3. Add garlic, bay leaves, and powder spices. Stir constantly for 2 minutes, until the flour has browned.
  4. Add 2 cups of water, chillies, tomatoes and kidney bean. Cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove cover and continue cooking, (adding more water if necessary), until the cried chillies break up and the meat it tender.
