A freakin’ delicious meat chili recipe from Bee!
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 500g mince beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 dried chillies (or 1 tsp. chilli powder)
- tin of chopped tomatoes
- tin of red kidney beans
- 2 cups of water
Method:
- Heat up the oil in a pot over medium heat. Add mince and brown, breaking up clumps. Let cook until any water from the meat evaporates.
- Add onion and cook for ~5 mins.
- Add garlic, bay leaves, and powder spices. Stir constantly for 2 minutes, until the flour has browned.
- Add 2 cups of water, chillies, tomatoes and kidney bean. Cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove cover and continue cooking, (adding more water if necessary), until the cried chillies break up and the meat it tender.
